Concrete and Water

Dragon’s Head is the name for the part of the Great Wall that meets the BoHai Gulf. When seen from a distance, it does look a bit like the head of a serpent. There is something about that place that has rooted in my heart. I’ve only been there once but it made a lasting impression on me.

Grand, Chinese design meets and gently kisses lapping waves on pebble beaches.

Concrete and water.

Hubris and Humility.

They’ve had to rebuild the Dragon’s Head because time, wind, and water had done their work. Just like they will again.
